Art and Creative Thinking for 5-12 years old

Spice up your child’s school holiday in Port Melbourne with our dynamic art program! Immerse them in a world of creativity from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day (you can sign up for half a day as well!), where they’ll explore a diverse range of artistic techniques and mediums. No experience is needed – just a readiness to dive into the exciting realms of art and imagination.

Our specially tailored activities will have your little artists crafting everything from luminous sea creatures to imaginative dinosaur sculptures and vibrant nature-inspired reliefs. They’ll engage in hands-on sessions, bringing their artistic visions to life while nurturing their creativity and confidence. Each day offers a new adventure: sculpting in clay, drawing under moonlight, and even creating their own eco-friendly art pieces.

At the end of each session, they’ll proudly bring home their masterpieces and a newfound passion for the arts. Don’t miss this chance to ignite your child’s creative spark in a fun, inspiring environment!

9th July 2025 (Wed) & 15th July 2025 (Tue) Safari Adventure

1.Glow in the Jungle: Safari Animals in the Dark – Create glowing masterpieces inspired by the creatures of the jungle as you let your imagination roam.

2.Sculpt-a-Giraffe: Bring Tall Tales to Life – Reach new heights of creativity with sculptures inspired by the elegance of giraffes.

3.The Lion’s Legacy: Charcoal Sketching Safari – Learn the secrets of texture and shading while sketching the king of the jungle with a bold twist.

10th July (Thu) & 14th July (Mon)  Underwater Wonders

1.Glow Beneath the Waves: Underwater Paint in the Dark – Bring the underwater world to life with glowing colours that mimic the mystery of the deep.

2.Sea Creatures in Print: A Marine Art Adventure – Experiment with texture and patterns to create stunning prints of ocean creatures.

3.Golden Scales: Sketching Shimmering Fish – Capture the elegance of aquatic life by sketching golden fish with a radiant glow.

8th July (Tue) & 16th July (Wed) Kids in Space

1.Glow in the Cosmos: Lunar Landscapes – Paint the majesty of the night sky, complete with glowing stars and cosmic wonders.

2.Stars and Shapes: Create a Cosmic Kaleidoscope – Design colourful star patterns and intergalactic shapes with layers of translucent brilliance.

3.Dreamy Space Adventures: Inspired by Miró – Channel surrealist energy to create dreamlike cosmic art inspired by Joan Miró’s celestial whimsy.

7th July (Mon) & 17th July (Thu) Illusions in Art

1.Mind-Bending Art: Draw Hand Illusions That Wow – Master the art of perspective and shading to create hand sketches that seem to pop right off the page.

2.Cezanne’s Secrets: A Fruit Bowl of Illusion – Recreate classic still-life art with modern techniques that add a twist of depth and mystery.

3.Sweet Deception: Sculpting Fake Candy – Fool the eye and tempt the taste buds with realistic candy sculptures that are 100% inedible but oh-so-delicious-looking.
