School Holiday Stage Camps

Over the past 5 years, IYT have developed a reputation for providing young performers a top level, full 5 x day immersion into the theatre making process and for challenging kids to perform at their best in a fun, open minded and freely expressive environment. And, the end result is a SHOW that will leave you spellbound.With professional level production and industry tutors from NIDA, WAAPA and STC, school holidays have never been so cool.

Back to the Eighties stage and musical camp will take you on a turbo charged adventure from the 1950s to the 2050s and back to the 80s as we buckle up and pay homage to classic movies come Broadway musicals ‘BACK TO THE FUTURE’, ‘HEATHERS’* and ‘BEETLEJUICE’!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

On the first day, we divide kids into groups according to their age, experience and interests, with approx. 10 to 12 in each group. Each group is immediately launched into casting, and a rotation of rehearsals working with some of Sydney’s leading professional youth directors from NIDA and WAAPA and musical theatre singers and choreographers. The kids will brainstorm ideas for the plot of their play, develop the scenes, learn a song and dance routine and rehearse it all up for an incredible performance on the final night.
