Q Kids Sport is a family owned and run business, which has spawned after realising the need to start school holiday sporting camps for kids to enjoy. We understand the positive impact sport can have on a child’s physical and social development, so we are committed to offering a fun safe place for kids to exercise and engage.

AFL Camps
Our camps are fun based, suitable for girls and boys between the ages of 7-12 who may have never played before, only kicked a ball once or twice or who are currently playing with a registered club. It’s the perfect opportunity to try out AFL without registering for a whole season. Our coaches are very in tune with recognizing different skill levels and adjusting certain aspects to better suit the individual. 

How is the AFL Camp structured?

After signing your child in, they will be divided into teams of similar ages and assigned a qualified coach. From there they will participate in a selection of different fun based AFL games and drills like kick tennis, goal kicking relays, umpired game, and agility time trials to name just a few. We also include a few mix up activities like Ga Ga Ball and Nerf Skirmish. These games, although not strictly AFL related, have similarities that can be carried across into any team sport.

Teamwork to achieve a common goal, spatial awareness, and the importance of lowering your center of gravity to stay balanced to maintain stability and power are just a few things they learn in a fun environment without even realising it.
