Kids Program (5-12 years)
At NICA, our workshops are the perfect place to learn circus skills, make new friends, and have loads of fun! Kids can join for a single workshop, or dive into multiple workshops across the program.
Leap Into Circus kicks off every morning and is action-packed with circus! Fly through the air, tumble across mats, balance in style and learn cool tricks. In the afternoons, the adventure continues with a Day at the Circus, where each day features a fun-filled circus theme, check out our timetable below to see what surprises are in store for kids aged 5-12.
For kids aged 7–12 our AERIAL KIDS workshops run on select afternoons to climb, hang, spin, and roll through the air. It’s high-flying fun for those who want to continue after our Leap Into Circus workshops.
Teen Program (12-17 years)
These holidays, NICA is running circus specialties just for circus-curious teens aged 12–17.
Held in the afternoons from 1-3pm you’ll learn epic circus skills featuring aeial specialties, roue cyr, trampoline, and acrobatic pole. Â
Get ready to flip, fly, and have an unforgettable time! Our teen program is all about fun, learning dynamic movement, and discovering what you’re capable of in a supportive environment. No prior experience is necessary.
About NICA Australia
NICA is a national not-for-profit arts training institute and registered cultural organisation, primarily funded by the Australian Government through the Office for the Arts. We are one of eight high-performing arts training organisations that comprise the Arts8, and members of the Federation of European Circus Schools (FEDEC).
As well as providing professional tertiary education, NICA offers a wide range of recreational courses for children to adults, operates a premier circus talent agency, NICA Represents, and supports the circus industry through professional development opportunities and masterclasses.
